Get Familiar With Moroccan Tiles
Our Moroccan tiles also know as Zellige are entirely crafted by hand and consists of 100% handmade clay. Small imperfections such as tiny cracks and chips that add character to the rustic nature of the tile are not considered a defect. All Moroccan Tiles items are handmade in Morocco; these tiles must be treated/considered in a similar manner to a natural product. Each tile is different from the next, as they are made by hand, specific for your project.
Please note the following features of Zellige mosaics are not defects, they are what constitute an authentic Zellige tile:
- Chips off the surface of the glaze exposing the clay beneath or Imperfections on the tile face
- Dips in the surface of the tile
- Uneven edging of the tile
- Ink or pen on the glaze surface The epoxy resin at the back coming through to the front of the mosaic For assembled sheets
- uneven gaps between mosaics pieces. Variation in color between tile pieces The exposure of the clay beneath the tile Uneven or inconsistent thickness of each tile
- each tile will vary from the next Shade variations are inherent in all kiln fired clay products. It is possible that the tiles you receive will be slightly different from the sample or display shown to you in the showroom - this is normal, and the absolute beauty of Zellige. All goods are sold subject to their normal and natural color variations, and samples given or displayed in the showroom or received by mail are to be considered indicative only.

Additional Information
Due to the relative inconsistencies of various computers, smart phones and tablets display monitors, the colors you see on your computer or smart device screen may not be a totally accurate reproduction of the actual product.
We strive to make our colors as accurate as possible, but screen images are intended as a guide only and should not be regarded as absolutely correct.
Our tiles are artisan made tiles, custom and traditionally handcrafted with the utmost care and craftsmanship. However, due to the nature of the artistic process and the use of traditional techniques, each piece is unique and may exhibit variations in color, texture, and dimensions. These individual characteristics are a testament to the authenticity and artisanal nature of our products. We embrace the charm of these subtle differences, as they reflect the hand of the artist and the inherent beauty of handmade goods. We appreciate your understanding that while pieces from the same collection share a common design, no two pieces will be exactly alike.

Tile Samples Policy
Tile Samples Policy
Our tiles are artisan made tiles, they are custom and traditionally handcrafted in Morocco by our tile artisans.
Each tile order or tile sample is custom handcrafted. We do not keep any stock . Each tile order is custom made for each customer. Making samples is same as making an entire tile order because we have to custom make the color pigments from scratch, then make the base tiles from clay, let them dry in the sun and apply the color pigments and glazes then bake them in kiln (wood fired oven). Each tile color requires a specific process including the mixture of color pigments and glazes as well as the proper temperature for baking.
Each foot sample costs $ 599.00 ( $ 299.00 is the cost to make one square foot sample + $ 300.00 is the cost to ship one sq/ft sample from Morocco to you). We will credit the cost of sample toward a confirmed purchase order order of at least 50 sq/ft of tiles.
