"Every tile is a singular expression of centuries-old craft — no two are alike."
Our tiles are produced in Fez, Morocco, by skilled artisans whose families have refined this tradition across generations. Natural clay is shaped by hand, glazed individually, and fired in wood kilns — a process that produces the rich variation, luminous depth, and authentic texture that machine production cannot replicate.

We specialize in supplying premium materials for luxury pool projects, working with homeowners, designers, and builders who value authenticity, durability, and refined design.
Yes. Mediterranean pool tiles are widely used for pool waterlines, spas, and fountains because glazed surfaces perform well in wet environments while adding colour, shine, and decorative detail.
Moroccan zellige tiles, Spanish colonial tiles, and hand-painted Mediterranean ceramics are among the most popular choices for pool waterlines because they enhance water colour and create visual depth.
Moroccan zellige tiles are commonly used in fountains, patios, accent walls, and select pool designs where a handcrafted, high-end look is desired. Learn more in our Mediterranean Pool Tile Design Guide.

The narrow band at the water's edge — the most visible element of any pool. Our zellige waterline tiles create a luminous, jewel-like border that shifts with light throughout the day. Chlorine-resistant and pool-safe for submerged applications.
Shop Waterline TilesIntricate hand-cut Moorish geometric mosaics for full pool interiors, feature walls, and pool floors. Each mosaic sheet is individually assembled by master zillij artisans, creating patterns that machine production cannot replicate.
Shop Mosaic TilesHand-painted azulejo-style ceramics for pool waterlines, spa surrounds, and decorative accents. Inspired by the design traditions of Seville and Fez — rich cobalt, terracotta, and ivory glazes with each tile uniquely painted.
Shop Spanish ColonialZellige border mosaics for decorative pool trim, step edges, and accent bands. Used by luxury pool designers to add definition, depth, and artisanal character to pools, fountains, and spa waterlines.
Shop Border TilesClassic cobalt and white hand-painted ceramics — the signature look of Mediterranean luxury pools. Used in Palm Beach, Naples, and Coral Gables estates for pool waterlines that evoke Andalusian and Moroccan heritage.
Shop Blue & WhiteIndividually hand-painted pool tiles in the style of Italian majolica and Moroccan azulejo — each one a unique work of art. Perfect for fountain surrounds, spa feature walls, and outdoor accent installations.
Shop Hand-PaintedZellige clay tiles have lined Moroccan hammams and fountain pools for over 800 years — in climates far more demanding than Florida or California.
Each handcut zellige tile has a slightly angled face. Unlike flat porcelain or glass, this faceting catches and refracts light — making water appear richer, deeper, and more luminous.
Kiln-fired at high temperature, zellige clay is completely non-reactive to chlorine, saltwater, pool chemicals, UV, and frost — meeting the demands of any pool environment.
Natural color variation and hand-cut texture means your pool waterline is one of a kind — something mass-produced porcelain or glass tile can never offer.
All Mediterranean Pool Tiles products meet the requirements for submerged and waterline pool installation in residential and commercial pools across the USA.
Choosing the right pool tile material is one of the most important decisions in your pool design. Here's how handcrafted Moroccan zellige compares to the most common alternatives.

Whether you're building a new pool or renovating an existing one, these four steps will help you select the right tile for your waterline, interior, coping, or accent application.
Waterline tile, full pool liner, pool floor, spa interior, and coping all have different requirements. Waterline tiles must withstand the chemical interface between air and water — our zellige is rated for all these zones.
For waterline tile, measure the full pool perimeter in linear feet. A standard 12" tall waterline band means your sq/ft equals your linear footage. Add 12% for cuts and waste. Min. order is 50 sq/ft.
Zellige color shifts in different lighting and underwater. We strongly recommend ordering samples before committing to your full project order. Request samples directly from any product page.
All tiles are custom made to order in Fez, Morocco. Allow approximately 8 weeks from confirmed order. Plan your installation schedule accordingly — we recommend ordering well ahead of your pool project start date.
